Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026 · Version française

This policy explains what data Showcase.me (the iPhone and iPad app and the web pages that display shared portfolios) handles, why, and what you can do about it. Showcase.me is published by Charles-Adrien Fournier, an independent developer, who is the data controller. Contact: feedback@cafournier.com.

Showcase.me has no ads, no tracking across apps or websites, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Your account

  • Your email address and how you sign in (email and password, or Sign in with Apple). With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email: we then receive a private relay address. If you choose to share your name with Sign in with Apple, it is stored with your account.
  • Your project limit and, if you subscribe, your Showcase.me Pro status (active or not, and until when).

What you create

  • Your projects: titles, descriptions and photos. We also store resized copies of your photos (thumbnails) and, for links where you turn it on, copies with your watermark.
  • Your watermark settings.
  • Your share links: their names, whether they are enabled, how many times they were viewed and when they were last viewed.

Purchases

  • If you subscribe to Showcase.me Pro, Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. Our subscription provider, RevenueCat, receives your purchase history from Apple, linked to your account identifier, along with technical details such as the app version, the device’s operating system and country.

People who open a share link

  • Visitors don’t need an account. We only count the views of each link; we don’t store anything that identifies visitors. Like any website, our hosting provider processes their IP address to deliver the pages and keeps technical logs for a limited time.

On your device

  • The app keeps a cache of your photos and a few preferences (such as how projects are sorted) on your device. They are deleted with the app.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service: your account, your projects, sharing, the watermark (performance of our contract with you).
  • To manage your Showcase.me Pro subscription (performance of our contract).
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (our legitimate interest).
  • When you create an account, the developer receives an email notification with your email address, to follow the app’s use and answer you (our legitimate interest).

Who processes it

  • Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Hosting) stores and serves your account and content. Servers are located in the United States.
  • RevenueCat manages subscriptions. Servers are located in the United States.
  • Apple handles Sign in with Apple and App Store payments.

These providers act on our behalf. Transfers outside the European Union rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Content you put behind a share link is visible to anyone who has that link, until you disable or delete it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data as long as your account exists. When you delete your account from the app (Account › Delete Account), your projects, photos and their copies, share links, profile and sign-in are deleted. Purchase records kept by Apple and RevenueCat follow their own retention, including legal accounting obligations; you can ask us to delete your RevenueCat record.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, at any time. Most of this is available in the app; for anything else, write to feedback@cafournier.com. If you are in the European Union, you can also file a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Children

Showcase.me is not directed to children under 15. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We will publish any update to this policy on this page, with its date, and inform you in the app of significant changes.
