Introduction

Welcome to FridgeBuddy (“the app”, “we”, “our”, “us”), developed by Charles-Adrien Fournier. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the app.

Use of the app

FridgeBuddy helps you track food inventory and expiration dates for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the app or use it for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

Not food-safety advice

FridgeBuddy organizes the dates and information you provide and reminds you about them. It does not determine whether a food product is safe to eat, and it is not a substitute for the product label or official food-safety guidance. “Best before” and “use by” dates have different meanings; always follow the label and the food-safety recommendations that apply where you live. You remain solely responsible for decisions about consuming or discarding food.

Purchases

The basic version of the app is free. Optional premium features can be unlocked through in-app purchases (including subscriptions). All payments, subscriptions, renewals, and refunds are handled by the Apple App Store under Apple’s terms, not by us. You can manage subscriptions in your device settings.

Your data and privacy

FridgeBuddy requires no account. Your inventory is stored on your device and in your private iCloud database, and household sharing works through Apple’s iCloud sharing. How your information is handled is described in the privacy policy.

Intellectual property

The app, its name, icon, design, and content are the property of Charles-Adrien Fournier and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use them outside of normal use of the app.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the app or access to it, including for breaches of these terms. Since the app requires no account, you can stop using it at any time by deleting it from your device; your iCloud data can be removed as described in the privacy policy.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the app — including decisions about food consumption, spoilage, or waste.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when the updated terms are posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date is revised. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
